I have a continued problem with Word 2008 (with all updates applied): on a fifty-page document with 150 or so footnotes, editing footnotes will.
Greetings glynarcher, Try the following: 1. Quit all applications.
Open a Finder window. With the Finder window showing, click the 'Go' menu and choose 'Computer'. Double-click 'Macintosh HD'.
Open the 'Library' folder. Go into the 'Application Support' folder. Open the 'Microsoft' folder.

Go into the 'Office365' folder. Navigate into the 'User Content' folder.
Open the 'Startup' folder. Finally, open the 'Word' folder here. If you see an 'EndNote CWYW Word 2016.bundle' file inside of the Word folder, drag this file to the Trash. Launch Word 2016 and open any document to confirm the EndNote X7 tab is no longer appearing. Please let me know if this helps. Hi, I am experiencing what I believe is a similar problem to kwaisiong's. I use Word 2016 on Mac (Sierra).
I only used EndNotes as an add-in in Word. Now I would like to remove EndNotes completely, which I would assume includes stopping EndNotes from loading when launching Word. I have followed all the instructions in this and several other topics. However, EndNote is still shown in my Word Add-Ins (.dotm and.bundle files), despite the fact that the shown path to these files results in empty folders. I would be very happy if you could suggest a solution to this issue. Best regards, Tina.
It sounds like you're using the Track Changes feature. If so, it will interfere with renumbering of any type (as well as a number of other processes) until the feature is turned Off & all changes are resolved Accepted/ Rejected.
If that isn't the case you'll need to supply a more detailed description of the circumstances, including origin/history of the document as well as your present update level of Office 2011 & your version of OS X. Please mark HELPFUL or ANSWERED as appropriate to keep list as clean as possible ☺ Regards, Bob J.
